Nevada Humanities — Literary Crawl
Background
The Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl is one of Reno’s most beloved events, as well as the largest and most significant literary festival in Northern Nevada. For the past 11 years, this joyful festival has featured a day filled with panel discussions, book signings, workshops, and family-friendly activities that bring together the rich literary talent of Nevada and beyond.
The Challenge
Cordova Creative was challenged to reintroduce the event to old and new audiences alike, as it had paused since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Following this brief hiatus Nevada Humanities was looking to bring back the Literary Crawl in 2024, bigger and better than ever before.
The Strategies
In years past the marketing efforts had focused heavily on direct mail and email marketing. The organization had not implemented a formal public relations or social media strategy to promote the event. Cordova Creative developed an integrated marketing and communications campaign to execute the event’s promotion - while the style guide and graphic design elements were developed in partnership with Mabble Media in Reno.
